The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for a Financial Crime Risk Stewardship role within the Corporate Investment Banking and International Wealth and Private Banking sectors. The successful candidate will be part of the Second Line of Defense, providing independent oversight and direction to manage financial crime risks, including fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption, sanctions breaches, and tax evasion. This role involves working with a team of financial crime risk professionals to support global, regional, and market teams, and to influence the risk discipline to effectively identify and mitigate financial crime risks. The AVP will also be responsible for governance, committee memberships, and preparing financial crime inputs for relevant forums. Applicants should have a minimum of 8-10 years' of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 18 months' in a risk stewardship role focused on financial crime risk. Strong knowledge of financial crime controls, the risk management framework, and the global non-financial risk framework is essential. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders, and experience in data analysis and reporting. The AVP will be expected to proactively identify and manage control and process failures, and to work with the first line of defense to implement remediation plans. The position demands a high level of leadership, teamwork, and the ability to manage and mitigate operational risks effectively.
