Vice President, Risk Stewardship Sanctions

The Company is seeking a VP for Risk Stewardship in Sanctions. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying financial crime (FC) risk changes and their potential impacts, particularly in the area of sanctions. This role involves representing the FC in governance forums, attending to internal and regulatory audits, and acting as a key interface to ensure compliance with legislation, regulation, and group standards. The VP will also lead a team, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive the attainment of functional results. A significant part of the role is focused on aligning operating practices with global standards and regulatory requirements, as well as leading the management of operational risk and financial crime risks. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' experience in financial crime risk management or a similar risk function, with extensive knowledge of sanctions regulations, particularly in the USA, UK, EU, and HKMA. The role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to influence senior management, and a proven track record of leading change initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how controls mitigate FC risk, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment. Experience in leading a team is desirable, and the role demands a proactive, professional approach to managing and mitigating key issues and concerns.
