Associate Vice President, Legal

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Legal to provide senior-level legal support across commercial contracts, property operations, regulatory matters, and corporate governance. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating agreements, advising on routine contract and property matters, monitoring legal developments, and maintaining corporate records. The role also supports privacy, litigation, insurance, and risk matters; coordinates with outside counsel; and partners with business teams to resolve legal issues. The successful candidate will manage matters from intake through resolution, exercise sound judgment, escalate significant risks appropriately, improve legal processes, and oversee junior attorneys. Candidates must hold a JD, LL.B., or equivalent law degree; admission to practice in their home jurisdiction is preferred. At least eight years of relevant legal experience is required, including meaningful experience supporting U.S. corporate, commercial, real estate, or operating-company matters. Strong commercial contracting, legal research, regulatory analysis, drafting, and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple matters independently and provide practical business guidance. Experience with landlord-tenant or real estate operations, corporate governance, and legal technology is preferred, as are strong communication, analytical, stakeholder-management, and confidentiality skills.
