Associate Vice President of Engineering Greater Bengaluru, India Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Engineering to turn enterprise engineering strategy into portfolio roadmaps, execution plans, and measurable outcomes. The role leads engineering managers and senior technical leaders, overseeing delivery, modernization, reliability, quality, security, and operational performance across products and platforms. Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional initiatives, improving delivery predictability, adopting shared technology capabilities, and applying engineering metrics to guide continuous improvement. The leader will also develop teams and leadership talent, plan workforce capacity, manage vendor performance, and promote responsible adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with 12 or more years in software, product, or platform engineering and at least five years leading multiple teams or senior engineering leaders. Required experience includes translating strategy into execution, delivering complex technology initiatives, and improving delivery, quality, reliability, security, and operations using measurable outcomes. Strong knowledge of modern architecture, cloud platforms, distributed systems, APIs, security, automated testing, continuous delivery, observability, and production operations is expected. Excellent communication, stakeholder leadership, workforce planning, talent development, and vendor management skills are also required; a relevant master’s degree, certifications, and experience with regulated environments, cloud modernization, SRE, or responsible AI are preferred.
