The CTO will be responsible for the technical outcome, including the production line, roadmap, technical team, budget, and the credibility of technical claims. A key focus is on solving the challenging problem of holding, stretching, and securing fabric during the automated sewing process. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of design for automation, leading the technical team, and engaging with suppliers and partners. They must have a strong background in textiles and materials, systems thinking, hands-on engineering, and a proven track record of leadership with empathy. Applicants for the CTO position at the company must bring a deep knowledge of textile technology, garment manufacturing, and material behavior. A background in engineering, particularly in textile, mechanical, or robotics engineering, is ideal. The role requires a hands-on approach to engineering, the ability to make quick, informed decisions, and a bias towards action.
