Head of Grid Engineering

The Company is seeking a Head of Grid Engineering to lead grid connection infrastructure for utility-scale renewable energy projects. Responsibilities include overseeing substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks from medium to extra-high voltage, and coordinating technical work across electrical engineering, civil works, steel structures, switchgear, and electromechanical installations. The role also involves managing consultants and subcontractors, working with grid operators and other stakeholders, and ensuring projects meet technical requirements and milestones. The successful candidate will help shape the grid strategy and may build and develop a team of Grid Managers. Applicants should have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline, and at least five years of experience with German grid connection processes and operators. Proven project management experience delivering power plant connections across medium, high, and extra-high voltage levels is required, along with strong knowledge of energy infrastructure and European generator grid-code requirements. Experience coordinating external technical partners is essential; team leadership, relevant CAD knowledge, and strong communication and stakeholder-management skills are advantageous. Professional proficiency in English and the ability to take ownership of complex projects are also required.
