Interim Head of Legal, Regulatory & Transactions, Fixed-Term Contract

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal, Regulatory & Transactions to lead regulatory matters and support mergers, acquisitions, investments, and post-merger integration. The role involves translating complex legal requirements into practical guidance, monitoring regulatory developments, assessing their business impact, and coordinating implementation across teams. The successful candidate will advise on digital platforms and consumer-facing products, reviewing offerings from concept through launch and providing clear risk assessments. They will also support due diligence and transaction documentation, coordinate external counsel, lead legal integration work, and oversee corporate governance matters. Applicants must be fully qualified German lawyers with two above-average German state examinations and substantial post-qualification experience at a leading law firm or in-house. Strong experience in at least one of digital business models, platform regulation, M&A, or post-merger integration is required, along with excellent written and spoken German and English. Candidates should communicate complex legal topics clearly, exercise business-oriented and risk-aware judgment, and have leadership or cross-functional project experience. Experience in antitrust or competition law, relevant financial-services regulation, or a postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
