Assistant Vice President, Financial Intelligence Unit Investigator

The Company is seeking a Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Investigator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the FIU in the centralized monitoring of suspicious transactions and AML investigations. This role requires a deep understanding of various financial instruments, including cash movements, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, and options. The FIU Investigator will work independently on complex assignments, act as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance on securities, money laundering, market abuse, and other crime-related issues. Additionally, the role involves developing investigation reports, managing assigned investigations, and coordinating in-depth research when unusual activity is detected. Applicants for the FIU Investigator position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or economics, with a focus on AML compliance, cash, and/or securities. A minimum of 5 years' relevant business experience is required, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of investment products, AML typologies, and the ability to review various systems using data analytics techniques. Securities courses and ACAMS certification are preferred. The role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
