The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Controls Assurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the integrity and effectiveness of the internal control framework to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance control effectiveness, identifying and investigating control weaknesses, and developing reports on key findings and recommendations. The AVP will also be expected to lead a team, set objectives, and coach employees, or, if an individual contributor, lead collaborative assignments and guide team members. Applicants for the AVP position should have experience in risk management, controls assurance, or internal audit, and a strong understanding of SOx and risk management practices. The role requires the ability to communicate internal control concepts clearly, both in a business context and with internal and external stakeholders. Highly valued skills include knowledge of internal control and regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO, and Basel IV regulations, proficiency in MS Office, and an understanding of data analytics in control testing. The ideal candidate will be adept at influencing decision-making, contributing to policy development, and taking ownership of risk management and control strengthening.
