Associate Vice President, Excess Casualty

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Excess Casualty, to handle complex casualty claims as an individual contributor, with potential to grow into a supervisory role. Responsibilities include managing claims from initial review through resolution, drafting coverage letters, resolving matters through mediation, and monitoring cases through trial. The role focuses primarily on excess and umbrella claims and calls for a collaborative approach to working with colleagues. Candidates should have at least five years of complex casualty claims experience, including substantial experience handling excess and umbrella claims. The position requires skill in drafting coverage letters and managing claims through mediation and trial; experience overseeing claims from start to finish is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required, and a law degree is preferred.
