The Company is seeking a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) to join their team. The ideal candidate is a security leader with a strong executive presence, capable of bridging the gap between technical security risk and business strategy. This strategic, client-facing leadership role involves serving as a trusted security advisor, maintaining a comprehensive security roadmap, and building executive relationships. The vCISO will also be responsible for driving growth through control map assessments, overseeing security posture, and ensuring compliance with security standards. A key aspect of the role is the ability to translate technical risk into business language, and the candidate should have a proven track record in this area, as well as the ability to identify and close revenue opportunities. Applicants for the vCISO position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a security advisory, CISO, or vCISO role, with a preference for those who have worked within an MSP or managed security services environment. A relevant security certification such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent is required. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the NIST CSF 2.0 framework or a comparable compliance framework, and experience with control map or similar gap assessment methodologies is a plus. The role demands a methodical, process-driven mindset, and the ability to balance strategic advisory work with revenue goals. The vCISO will be expected to have strong documentation habits, be adept at incident response, and have a background across multiple compliance frameworks.
