Greater Dallas, TX Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Mechanical Engineer with a focus on mission-critical and data center facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing complex cooling and HVAC systems, including air distribution and chiller plants, and leading a team of mechanical engineers. This role requires the production of high-quality technical and professional deliverables, the design of large air and hydronic systems, and the specification of building automation control systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven history in mechanical or architectural engineering with an emphasis on mechanical building systems, at least 10 years of experience in designing mechanical systems for high-performing commercial, industrial, or mission-critical buildings, and a strong working knowledge of mechanical systems and codes. Applicants for this position at the company should be technically sound mechanical engineers with the ability to lead and develop complex projects. Strong communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with internal and external team members are essential. The role also involves mentoring and training junior engineers, as well as performing project management activities. The candidate should be willing to travel to client sites and be adept at interacting with clients and stakeholders. A Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification, experience with computational fluid dynamics, and knowledge of international codes and standards are preferred qualifications. The role demands a candidate who is dedicated to ethical decision-making, adheres to a code of conduct, and is committed to the company's values and policies.
