The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Transaction Monitoring Analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for enabling data-driven decision-making by extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to identify trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualizations and reports. This role involves investigating and analyzing data issues, designing and building data pipelines, and applying advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to uncover trends and correlations. The AVP will also be expected to translate analytical findings into business recommendations, design interactive dashboards, and automate reporting processes. Applicants for the AVP position should have a strong background in data analytics, with the ability to solve problems logically and creatively, and a proven track record of utilizing analytical tools for data exploration, analysis, and visualization. Experience with SQL, Scala, Spark, and Python is essential, as is a solid understanding of databases, structured and unstructured data, and data management principles. The role requires relevant qualifications in a technical field, strong organizational skills, and an understanding of machine learning, LLM, and preferably GenAI. While not mandatory, an appreciation of financial crime, AML, and transaction monitoring, as well as knowledge of the UK and global financial crime regulatory framework, is considered a valuable asset. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and lead a team or collaborative assignments with a focus on operational and process improvements.
