The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships and Philanthropy to lead the development and delivery of a multi-year strategy that is in line with the organization's priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing income and building relationships that advance discovery cancer research. This role requires a leader who is not only ambitious and outward-looking but also sees partnerships as a means to create impact. The Executive Director will be expected to have a strong record in growing and diversifying income streams, with a personal track record of securing significant income from various sources. They must be adept at strategic planning, budgeting, and performance reporting, and be able to contribute to the overall strategy and culture of the charity as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have senior leadership experience, including the ability to set and lead strategy, develop people, and manage budgets. The role demands a candidate with a proven ability to build lasting, mutually beneficial relationships and to turn organizational priorities into compelling propositions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the UK philanthropic and fundraising landscape, and experience in using data and CRM systems to manage opportunities. Strong leadership, financial management, and decision-making skills are essential, as is a commitment to the values of the organization. The role also involves working closely with the Research Directorate to communicate research priorities and to ensure that partnership and fundraising activities meet legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
