About the Role
Greater Guangzhou, China Area (Hybrid)(Guangzhou, China)
The Company is seeking a Vice President to lead the development and deployment of financial crime investigative tools, taking use cases from discovery and prototyping through controlled production release, adoption, and measurable outcomes. Responsibilities include translating investigator needs into technical designs, improving investigation workflows, and establishing reusable engineering components and evaluation practices. The role provides hands-on technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams, partners with business, technology, and control stakeholders, and sets standards for safety, reliability, and operational support. It also requires assessing and documenting deployment risks, defining monitoring and rollback criteria, and ensuring solutions meet governance and control requirements. Candidates should have strong hands-on Python skills and experience with PyTorch or an equivalent machine-learning framework, including building and operating production AI services. Practical expertise in large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, API integration, evaluation, cloud technologies, and LLM operations is required, alongside secure engineering, testing, deployment automation, and observability. Applicants should have proven experience taking AI capabilities into production and a strong understanding of financial crime investigations, evidence, and case-management workflows. The role also calls for clear stakeholder communication, sound risk judgment, and the ability to lead through expertise and influence; experience with agentic AI, vendor evaluation, and latency or cost optimization is an advantage.
