Head of Financial Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Financial Accounting to take on a diverse management role within its retail chain. The successful candidate will have professional and disciplinary responsibility for finance and accounting, leading a team of 12 employees. Key responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements in accordance with German Commercial Code and Swiss GAAP FER, as well as annual tax returns and VAT returns. The role also involves liquidity management, budget management, and participation in the digitalization and SAP S/4HANA migration of the retail chain. The Head of Financial Accounting will be the primary contact for accounting and tax law matters, and will be expected to identify development opportunities, cost reductions, and system improvements. Applicants for the Head of Financial Accounting position at the company should hold a degree in business administration, with an IHK-certified accountant qualification being ideal. A minimum of 5 years' professional experience in finance, including initial management experience, is required. The role demands a candidate with excellent communication, social, and leadership skills, who is results-oriented, holistic, and strategic. Experience in preparing financial statements according to German GAAP, with a desire for IFRS knowledge, is essential.
