Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Greater Huntsville, AL Area

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide executive financial leadership and advise senior leadership on strategy, performance, and risk. The CFO will oversee finance and accounting operations, financial planning, reporting, treasury, pricing, program controls, and government contract compliance across a multi-entity organization. Responsibilities include maintaining audit-ready financial systems and controls, managing indirect rates and proposal pricing, supporting contract performance and profitability, and leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. The role also includes evaluating growth opportunities and transactions, strengthening enterprise risk management, optimizing financial processes and systems, and developing the finance organization. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, at least 15 years of progressive relevant experience, and at least eight years in executive or senior leadership. Significant federal government contracting experience, including work with multi-entity organizations, is required, along with expertise in GAAP, FAR, DFARS, CAS, government contract accounting, indirect rates, pricing, and financial planning and analysis. Demonstrated experience with Unanet ERP, audits, incurred cost submissions, and compliance reviews is also required. Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and strategic partnering skills are essential; a CPA, an MBA or related master’s degree, and experience with acquisitions or organizational transformation are preferred.
