Deputy General Counsel, Sales & Purchase Agreement Compliance

The Company is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to provide timely legal advice supporting energy procurement operations. Responsibilities include evaluating power purchase projects, developing and negotiating power purchase, cross-border, and ancillary agreements, and advising on complex contractual and fuel-related matters. The role will address legal interpretations of executed agreements, advise on regulatory issues, and work with internal teams and external counsel on dispute strategy, including arbitration. The successful candidate will also engage with regulators and other stakeholders, review proposed legislation and regulations, and support the development of legal team members. Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) and have at least seven years of relevant work experience. A master’s or professional qualification, such as an MBA, LLM, or CCEP-I, is an advantage. The role calls for strong legal advisory, negotiation, report-writing, networking, and interpersonal skills, along with business acumen and the ability to identify and mitigate risk.
