Senior Legal Counsel

The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and practical legal opinions, as well as risk assessments, to the operational departments on a range of commercial, land, and general operational matters. This role also involves the management of a diverse set of legal documentation, including the drafting, review, negotiation, and finalization of various agreements. The Senior Legal Counsel will oversee legal compliance in real estate and land transactions, monitor changes in legislation and industry guidelines, and ensure full statutory compliance across all real estate developments and corporate activities. Additionally, the role includes external stakeholder liaison and dispute resolution, with a focus on protecting the group's interests. Applicants for the Senior Legal Counsel position at the company should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and have 3 to 5 years' of post-qualification experience, preferably in areas related to real estate, conveyancing, or corporate law. The ideal candidate will have a background in a law firm's relevant department or experience as in-house counsel within property development or construction. Key skills and qualifications include a strong understanding of commercial and real estate law, excellent contract management abilities, and experience in regulatory compliance. The role requires the capacity to identify and manage legal risks, as well as the ability to work effectively with external stakeholders, including solicitors, regulatory bodies, and government agencies.
