Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to oversee the clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all residents receive the necessary care and services to maintain their well-being. The CNO will be responsible for the daily operations of the nursing department, including the implementation of the facility's systems, processes, and programs to achieve its mission and strategic goals. This role involves leading the nursing team to ensure quality outcomes, overseeing staffing based on census, acuity, and budget, and participating in the facility's quality assurance performance improvement process. The CNO will also be involved in budget discussions, staff composition recommendations, and will serve as a clinical partner to the CEO. Candidates for the CNO position at the company should have a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing, with a BSN or MSN preferred. A valid RN license in the state of employment and CPR certification are required. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of successful experience as a Director of Nursing or in an equivalent position in a long-term care facility. Key responsibilities include fostering a culture of safety, promoting evidence-based practice, and ensuring the nursing department's philosophy and objectives align with the provision of high-quality, person-centered care. The CNO will also be involved in staff development, managing adverse events, and advocating for the residents and staff. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
