The Company is seeking a General Counsel to lead legal, compliance, and regulatory workstreams and support its strategic growth. The role includes advising on acquisitions and debt and equity financings, leading legal and tax due diligence, and supporting deal sourcing and negotiations. The General Counsel will oversee commercial agreements and strategic partnerships, develop the compliance framework, manage corporate and contractual matters, and coordinate intellectual property strategy with external counsel and research teams. The position also involves leading the legal team, coordinating external advisors and regulators, and providing practical guidance across the organization. Candidates must hold a law degree and have at least 10 years of legal experience, including substantial work in M&A, financing, and due diligence. Experience in a regulated sector such as biotech, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, diagnostics, life sciences, or healthcare is preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate law, IVDR, GDPR, ISO compliance standards, and intellectual property is required; familiarity with the US market is an advantage. Applicants should bring excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, a pragmatic and organized approach, and professional fluency in English; Slovenian is an advantage.
