About the Role
Greater London, United Kingdom Area (On-site)
The Company is a leading organization dedicated to promoting equality and inclusion in football. With a history of over thirty years, it has been at the forefront of challenging discrimination, supporting those affected by abuse, and influencing policy to make the sport more representative of the communities it serves. The Company is now in search of a Chair to lead its Board through a pivotal phase, in line with its new five-year strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Executive to shape the strategic direction, ensure high standards of governance, and oversee the organization's performance, financial sustainability, and risk. The ideal Chair will have a background in a senior executive, non-executive, or Board leadership role, with a strong understanding of good governance and the ability to foster an inclusive and effective Board culture. While experience in football is beneficial, a genuine commitment to the organization's mission and values is paramount. The role requires a collaborative, independent-minded individual with the integrity and courage to provide constructive challenge and ensure that decision-making is informed by lived experience.
