Chair of the Board

The Company is seeking a Chair of the Board to lead oversight of its strategy, business plan, governance, and long-term sustainable success. The Chair will guide Board effectiveness and development, oversee organizational performance, financial sustainability, strategic risks, and change initiatives, and provide constructive support and challenge to the Chief Executive. Working with senior leadership and governance bodies, the Chair will promote accountability and ensure the organization delivers value to its members while serving the public interest. The role also includes representing the profession externally and championing its contribution to society, policy, education, and key sector issues. Candidates must be Chartered members of The Company in good standing and have significant non-executive experience, including chairing boards or committees in international organizations. They should bring sound judgment, financial and strategic oversight, experience leading organizational change, and strong relationship-building and influencing skills. The successful candidate will be committed to the organization, its members, the public interest, and sustainable long-term success. A demonstrable commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, climate action, and sustainability is also required.
