Fractional Head of AI

The Company is seeking a Head of AI to define and deliver an AI strategy across its investment platform and portfolio businesses. The role will identify and prioritize opportunities that can drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer value, while partnering with senior executives and investment teams to assess AI maturity and guide adoption. Responsibilities include developing AI roadmaps, leading governance and risk frameworks, evaluating AI opportunities during investment due diligence, and establishing best practices for AI architecture, deployment, and product development. The successful candidate will also build AI capabilities across portfolio businesses through coaching, training, and hiring support. Candidates should have proven experience leading enterprise AI or data science functions and a strong record of delivering commercial AI solutions at scale. They should be able to influence business strategy and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, with deep knowledge of generative AI, large language models, machine learning, and modern data platforms. Experience developing AI operating models, governance frameworks, and adoption strategies is required. Technical expertise in areas such as MLOps, cloud platforms, data engineering, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI product development is valuable; experience in investment, consulting, technology, or fast-growth environments is an advantage.
