Managing Director

The Company is seeking a Managing Director to lead its congress and event venues, with a strong focus on economic success, strategic development, and sustainable customer relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational and financial management of the congress center, including event management, technology, logistics, and catering. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in the MICE industry, experience in acquiring and managing high-profile events, and a deep understanding of the scientific, medical, and life sciences sectors. The Managing Director will also be tasked with the further development of innovative event formats, the implementation of marketing and sales strategies, and the cultivation of sustainable networks within the industry. Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company's congress and event venues should have a completed university degree, preferably in business administration, tourism management, or a related field, and several years of management experience with a strong focus on profit and loss, budget, and personnel responsibility. The role demands a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a passion for the interplay between science, business, and culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong national and international industry network, experience in collaborating with public sector clients, and a deep understanding of state aid regulations. Fluency in German and English is essential, with additional foreign language skills being an advantage.
