Head of Accounting & Transformation

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to play a pivotal role in the transformation and establishment of a modern, independent accounting organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, leading, and developing the accounting team, as well as ensuring the preparation of financial statements in compliance with German Commercial Code. This role involves a hands-on approach to optimizing accounting processes, controls, and governance structures, and contributing to the design of the ERP and system landscape. The Head of Accounting will also be instrumental in the areas of working capital, cash management, and liquidity control, and will serve as a key point of contact for management, investors, auditors, and external consultants. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a degree in economics, further training as a certified accountant, or a comparable qualification, with a strong background in accounting, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proficiency in German GAAP and German tax law, especially VAT, is essential. The role requires a candidate with management experience or the willingness to lead an accounting team, as well as experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365. A structured, analytical, and hands-on work style, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team, are also key attributes.
