Head of Accounting & Transformation

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to play a pivotal role in the transformation and growth of its finance function. This senior position is not only about leading an established accounting team but also about being at the forefront of reshaping the organization's financial structures, processes, and standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial statements in compliance with German Commercial Code, and will be instrumental in the design and optimization of ERP and system landscapes. A key aspect of the role is to establish transparent and reliable reporting for management and investors, and to contribute to the development of processes in working capital, cash management, and liquidity control. Applicants for the Head of Accounting role at the company should have a degree in economics, be a certified accountant, or possess a comparable qualification. Professional experience in accounting, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial environment, is essential. The role requires a deep understanding of German GAAP, HGB, and German tax law, with a focus on VAT. The ideal candidate will have a background in management or a strong willingness to lead and develop an accounting team. Experience with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365, and a proven track record in optimizing accounting processes and internal controls are also necessary. The Head of Accounting must be fluent in German, with good to very good English skills, and demonstrate a structured, analytical, and hands-on work style, along with strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
