The Company is in search of a Vice President of Preclinical Research to lead the development of next-generation glucose sensing technologies. This high-impact role is dedicated to advancing electrochemical biosensors, wearable medical devices, biomaterials, and sensor platforms from early research to commercial manufacture. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team in the development of continuous glucose monitoring sensors, driving innovation in electrochemical biosensors, and solving complex technical challenges. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, clinical, regulatory, algorithms, and manufacturing, is essential to deliver innovative diabetes technologies that enhance patient outcomes globally. Applicants for the Vice President of Preclinical Research position at the company should hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and have a proven track record in the development of CGM, continuous biosensing, wearable sensors, or electrochemical biosensors. Key skills include expertise in electrochemistry, biosensor design, electrode modification, and biomaterials, as well as hands-on experience with various technical tools. The role requires experience in medical device product development, design controls, and regulatory submissions. Preferred experience includes commercial product development, regulatory submission experience, and a background in areas such as microfluidics, flexible electronics, or sensor materials and coatings. The ideal candidate will also have a strong publication record and a history of patent generation and technology innovation.
