Interim Executive Director Fellow

The Company is seeking an Executive Director Fellow for a year-long leadership development program designed to prepare candidates to lead a regional education organization. Fellows take part in immersive learning, coaching, mentoring, and applied leadership experiences, including an internship or residency alongside an experienced executive. They will lead a strategic project addressing a significant organizational priority and demonstrate growth through assessments, feedback, and practical leadership work. The fellowship focuses on improving student outcomes, building effective leadership teams, guiding regional strategy, and preparing for executive-level responsibilities; completion does not guarantee placement. Candidates should be current regional education leaders with strong performance records or external leaders experienced in improving educational outcomes. At least 10 years of success leading teams and achieving measurable results is required, along with evidence of improving academic, operational, or organizational performance and a commitment to equity and educational opportunity. Applicants should be able to influence diverse stakeholders, develop talent, manage complex work, and lead through change. A bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.
