The Company is seeking a Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs to serve as its chief academic and student life officer. This pivotal role involves providing strategic and operational leadership across the full spectrum of the student experience, from academic program quality and faculty affairs to enrollment, retention, and student support services. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating academic and co-curricular functions to advance student learning and success, in line with the institution's mission and core values. Key responsibilities include overseeing curriculum development, program review, and new program launches, as well as directing all student affairs functions and ensuring a campus culture that fosters academic achievement and student formation. Applicants for the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs position at the company must hold an earned doctorate and have a minimum of 8-10 years' leadership experience in higher education administration, with a proven track record in both academic and student affairs. The role requires a leader with a strong background in faculty appointment, teaching, and experience in leading accreditation processes and enrollment or retention initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative leadership style, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trust among various stakeholders. While not mandatory, experience in a mission-driven, private Catholic or faith-based institution and familiarity with the Mercy Catholic tradition is preferred. The role demands a visible and approachable individual who can inspire others and lead change in the challenging environment of private higher education.
