The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the modernization of its support office, with a focus on technology, data, and AI. The successful candidate will be responsible for redesigning the organization's work processes to make them more efficient and effective, using technology as the primary enabler. This includes owning the company's data, systems, technology vendors, data security, and the policy and training that ensure the safe and useful application of AI. The role demands a leader who can balance the need for coherence across the organization with responsiveness to the diverse communities it serves. Key responsibilities for the CTO include drafting and implementing AI policy, launching IT service models, and ensuring the security and privacy of all data. The ideal candidate will have a service-minded approach, treating all stakeholders as customers, and will be a strategic partner to the executive team. Applicants for the Chief Technology Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in data and technology, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. The role requires a candidate who has a proven track record in building and leading a modern data platform, driving AI adoption, and managing a security and privacy program. Experience in K-12 education is strongly preferred. The CTO will be expected to lead a small, senior team, and manage outside technology vendors to ensure the highest service levels. The ideal candidate will be a disciplined leader, with a focus on economic efficiency, and will be adept at attracting and retaining top talent. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree in a related field. The CTO should be a teacher and manager at heart, with a commitment to educational equity and the ability to identify and address inequitable practices.
