Vice President of Engineering

The Company is seeking a VP of Engineering to take on a pivotal role in the development of a real-time operational platform that integrates autonomous systems, AI, and physical security. This is a unique opportunity to be the first senior software engineering leader, with a focus on defining the architecture, building the product, and assembling a high-performing engineering team. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, Principal-level technical owner, involved in all aspects of the engineering process from system architecture to code review, and will play a key role in shaping the platform's end-to-end capabilities, including real-time interfaces, drone control, cloud infrastructure, and AI-assisted features. The role demands a genuine player-coach approach, with the initial responsibility of directly contributing to the product and gradually transitioning to a leadership role as the company scales. Candidates for this role should have a background in autonomy, robotics, drones, aerospace, gaming, simulation, geospatial technology, public safety, or physical security, where they have been directly involved in building and shipping complex software. While direct experience in defense or drones is not mandatory, a strong understanding of real-time systems, production reliability, and full-stack architecture is essential. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, experience in hiring and mentoring engineers, and a desire to be at the forefront of modern AI coding tools and software agents.
