The Company is seeking a Director, Assistant General Counsel for Pharmacy Services. This key role is focused on commercial contracts and related activities to support the business units providing products and services to outpatient pharmacy customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating commercial agreements, ecosystem agreements, and developing customer-facing terms. This player-coach position requires a leader who can work closely with various stakeholders, including sales, business, and legal teams, to refine commercial strategy and ensure adherence to risk management guidelines. The role also involves coordinating workflow, managing resources, and providing strategic leadership to legal professionals. Applicants must be inspirational leaders, team players, and possess strong critical thinking skills. The role demands the ability to analyze complex legal, business, and operational ecosystems, as well as the capacity to apply engineering principles to legal processes. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. with at least 10 years' of experience in commercial contract negotiation, a strong working knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH and state-level privacy laws, and a background in the pharmacy or pharmacy-adjacent industry. Preferred qualifications include experience in highly regulated industries, publicly traded companies, and contracting with pharmacy benefit managers and pharmaceutical manufacturers. The Director, Assistant General Counsel will be expected to be a highly effective communicator, lead cross-functional teams, and demonstrate the courage to champion good ideas and make tough decisions.
