Greater Portland, OR Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide executive leadership, strategic direction, and fiscal and program oversight. The CEO will be responsible for advancing the organization's mission and strategic vision, with a strong focus on equitable outcomes and the creation of opportunities for individuals and communities. This role involves leading the implementation of a multi-year strategic plan, building and maintaining partnerships across various sectors, and representing the organization in regional, statewide, and national conversations on workforce development. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, forward-thinking leader with a passion for workforce and economic development, capable of fostering a high-performing, inclusive organizational culture. Candidates for the CEO position at the company should have a minimum of five years' of leadership experience, preferably in workforce development, economic development, or a related field. A background in nonprofit management and experience with publicly funded systems, including an understanding of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be an exceptional relationship builder, with the ability to work effectively across business, education, government, nonprofit, and community sectors. Key qualifications include demonstrated experience in strategic planning, fiscal management, fund development, and partnership building, as well as a proven track record of working collaboratively with Boards, staff, and diverse stakeholders. The role requires a leader with sound judgment, integrity, and excellent communication skills, who can effectively manage organizational change and navigate the evolving needs of the workforce.
