The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President with a focus on Application DBA and Sybase T-SQL. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of Sybase ASE stored procedures, queries, and database objects. This role involves performing application-level DBA activities such as performance tuning, query optimization, and index management, as well as collaborating with application teams to support database design and data modeling. The candidate will also be expected to monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, manage database connections, and support release deployments and schema changes in various environments. Applicants must have a strong background in Sybase ASE development, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and triggers, and possess application DBA experience with a focus on performance tuning, execution plans, and lock management. Familiarity with sysprocesses, monitoring, and MDADB reporting is essential. The role requires the ability to work closely with development and infrastructure teams, and experience with scripting for automation is a plus. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 12 years' of relevant experience, a proven track record in project management, and the ability to make technical decisions. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with a strong foundation in software engineering and databases.
