Assistant Vice President, Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst Greater Pune, India Area

The Company is seeking an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst to join their team. This intermediate-level position is pivotal in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs, working in close coordination with the technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling all phases of the development process, providing user and operational support, and contributing to application systems analysis and programming activities. Key responsibilities include utilizing in-depth specialty knowledge to analyze complex issues, recommending and developing security measures, and consulting with users and other technology groups on advanced programming solutions. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' of relevant experience, with a strong background in Big Data engineering, including experience in Scala, Java, and Python for designing and developing data pipelines and REST APIs. Deep knowledge of Spark and Scala API is essential, as is experience with Hadoop Big Data and Hadoop-centric schedulers. The role also requires the ability to manage and implement successful projects, work under pressure, and have a working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and knowledge of regulatory reporting is a strong plus. The ideal candidate will be able to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders, and have the ability to coach and advise lower-level analysts.
