Assistant Vice President, Core Java Applications Development Greater Pune, India Area

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Core Java Applications Development with a focus on low latency trading systems. The successful candidate will be part of the Equities Technology group, working closely with a front-office business unit to develop and enhance a strategically important platform. This role is pivotal in supporting the ambitious growth plans of the Equities business and requires a strong technical background, particularly in core Java for low latency trading systems. The position involves requirements analysis, solution definition, and the development of low-latency, high-frequency solutions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of financial industry experience in designing and implementing trading systems, with a proven track record in this fast-paced, challenging environment. Applicants must have 8-14 years of hands-on development experience in core Java, exposure to low latency frameworks, FIX engines, and technologies such as Solace and Python. A deep understanding of the challenges in developing high-throughput, low-latency trading systems, and experience in implementing trading strategies and order management system development is essential. The role also requires knowledge of market data and exchange protocols, as well as experience with distributed systems, messaging middleware, and IPC. Familiarity with network programming, Linux/Unix, and database systems is a plus. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field and be prepared to work in a dynamic, high-performance team of experienced technologists.
