Vice President, AI / Machine Learning Software Engineer Greater Pune, India Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President, AI / Machine Learning Software Engineer to join their Global Payments & Trade CAO team. The successful candidate will be responsible for AI solution engineering, AI architecture and platform development, data engineering, and MLOps & AI operations. This role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning, or data engineering, with a minimum of 8 years specifically in building generative AI applications. The role involves designing and developing AI-powered applications, integrating LLM-based applications, and developing RAG solutions. The candidate should have a strong technical background in programming (Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript), AI/ML (large language models, prompt engineering, agentic AI architecture), data engineering (ETL/ELT pipelines, data processing), and experience with cloud platforms and MLOps/DevOps tools. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will have a proven track record of leading technical workstreams, mentoring junior engineers, and driving technical decision-making. They should be adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to the delivery of AI and machine learning solutions. Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, and with MLOps/DevOps tools like GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow, is essential. The role also requires a strong understanding of data engineering, including experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and vector databases. The candidate should be well-versed in AI/ML fundamentals, NLP, and document intelligence, and have a solid foundation in machine learning and generative AI applications.
