General Counsel

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to serve as a strategic partner to the Board and the business, providing sharp legal analyses with a commercial perspective to support the organization's objectives. The successful candidate will bear ultimate responsibility for all legal and compliance-related issues, lead a small legal team, and contribute to the company's growth. Key tasks include recruiting, managing, and motivating legal staff, negotiating and reviewing complex commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with corporate governance, and acting as the Data Protection Officer for the Dutch entities. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a completed university degree in law (Master's) and extensive experience as a legal professional, particularly in contract law. Management experience is a plus, as is a background in corporate governance and advising executive boards. The role requires an individual with an excellent command of both Dutch and English, who can proactively advise on laws and regulations, manage pre-litigation and disputes, and maintain contact with external legal counsel. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a complex, rapidly changing environment and be adept at balancing legal and commercial considerations to support the organization's growth and sustainability.
