Executive Director of Athletics & Recreation Greater Scranton, PA Area

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation to provide strategic leadership and oversight of its intercollegiate athletics and recreation programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, planning, fiscal management, compliance, personnel, facilities, and operations of the department. This role is pivotal in ensuring that athletics and recreation align with the company's mission and educational priorities, while also promoting student success, well-being, competitive excellence, and a positive campus experience. The Executive Director will also be a key member of the President's Advisory Council, contributing to the development and implementation of university-wide organizational strategy. Candidates for the Executive Director position must have a Master's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in collegiate athletic administration, with a strong preference for those with a background in NCAA Division III athletics. The role requires a deep understanding of NCAA rules, regulations, and best practices, as well as the ability to develop effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising staff, and previous coaching experience at the college level is also a requirement. Proficiency in various technology platforms and a strong organizational ability are essential for this role.
