Managing Director, Group Sustainability Greater Singapore Area

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Group Sustainability to play a pivotal role in the organization's transformation towards becoming a future-ready, sustainable financial services partner. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering the group's sustainability agenda, working closely with the Group Chief Sustainability Officer and senior management to translate strategic ambitions into clear priorities and practical initiatives. This senior role involves driving cross-functional sustainability initiatives, managing risks, and strengthening governance and disclosures. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree, at least 15 years of relevant experience, and a strong understanding of sustainability in the financial sector, particularly in the region. Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include developing and supporting the implementation of the group's sustainability strategy, driving initiatives across business units and subsidiaries, and representing the company in the wider sustainability and financial sector ecosystem. The role requires a pragmatic, hands-on approach, the ability to build strong partnerships, and excellent stakeholder management skills. The candidate should be a collaborative team player, a strategic thinker, and a practical problem solver, with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks, taxonomies, and regulatory developments in the region is essential, as is the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations and solutions.
