Senior Vice President, Deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO), Group Finance
About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Group Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and running the operating model, governance, and controls within the Group Finance function. This includes leading the finance side of the company's recovery and resolution planning, acting as the chief of staff to finance leadership, and overseeing the finance controls framework. The role also involves RRP readiness, which encompasses various critical areas such as loss-absorbing capacity, valuation capability, and operational continuity in resolution. The Deputy COO will work closely with the Group Finance leaders, as well as with risk, audit, compliance, technology, and regulators. Candidates for this role should have a strong banking background, at least 12-15 years' experience in financial services, and a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CFA. The role requires a clear and confident communicator with strong people leadership skills, the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, and a strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail. Experience in RRP, particularly at a D-SIB or G-SIB, and a proven track record of engaging with senior stakeholders and managing audits and regulatory inspections are essential. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, deliver against targets, and have a great understanding of finance processes, including the use of AI tools for presentations.
