The Company is in search of a Vice President, Legal Counsel for its Markets division in the APAC region. The successful candidate will be an experienced lawyer with a strong background in financial and banking regulations, particularly within the context of the APAC market. This role is pivotal in providing trusted legal advice on a wide range of market products, live transactions, regulatory changes, and new product initiatives. Key responsibilities include advising on financial and banking regulations, leading legal aspects of market business transactions, and drafting and negotiating various market-related agreements. The role also involves supporting cross-border transactions and regulatory initiatives, as well as collaborating with internal and external legal teams. Applicants for this role should be qualified lawyers admitted in a common law jurisdiction, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant legal experience, preferably within the financial services sector. Strong drafting and negotiation skills in financial markets documentation are essential, as is a solid understanding of financial and bank regulatory frameworks. The role requires a commercial, solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively. While not mandatory, fluency in a second language is considered a plus.
