Head of Mechanics

The Company is seeking a Head of Mechanics to lead its mechanical department and an experienced team of specialists. The role carries overall responsibility for delivering complex customer projects on time, to a high standard, and within budget. The successful candidate will also develop departmental structures, processes, and employees, while fostering collaboration and supporting the department’s long-term direction. They will establish clear operating frameworks and contribute to the sustainable development of the mechanical organization. Candidates should have a technical education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field, along with extensive management experience in a mechanical environment. Significant experience in special-purpose machinery, machine tools, or plant engineering is required, as is the ability to lead and schedule assembly and service personnel. International assembly, service, or commissioning experience is expected. Familiarity with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and technical drawings is required; CAD skills are an advantage. Strong technical credibility, practical implementation skills, an appreciative leadership style, and good English are also important.
