Head of Legal & HR Management

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal and HR Management to oversee the professional and organizational management of its personnel administration and legal department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a five-person team and serving as the primary contact for operational handling of labor law issues and contractual matters. This role requires ensuring and maintaining legally compliant processes and structures in accordance with relevant acts, addressing complex legal issues in the university context, and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements. The Head of Legal and HR Management will also be involved in documenting and developing internal HR processes, setting up reporting and KPI management, and participating in organizational development projects. Applicants for the Head of Legal and HR Management position at the company should have a completed law degree, several years of experience in human resources with a focus on team leadership, and a sound knowledge of Austrian employment law and the University Act. Proficiency in German and English, as well as solid digital skills, particularly in MS Office and SAP, are essential. The ideal candidate will have relevant professional experience in a university environment or a similar setting and be adept at handling the legal and HR aspects of a service-oriented unit. The role also involves budget preparation and control, so experience in this area is beneficial.
