Associate Vice President, Compliance & Legal Remote (anywhere in Malaysia)

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Compliance & Legal to support the implementation and governance of its Privacy Information Management System (PIMS). Responsibilities include conducting requirements studies and gap assessments, coordinating and documenting risk assessments, and working with stakeholders to develop or revise policies and procedures. The role will support implementation and continuous improvement activities, collaborate on information security audits, and serve as the program owner and point of contact for privacy awareness initiatives. The position also includes supporting departmental operations, covering colleagues’ duties when needed, assisting with continuity during emergencies, and escalating issues promptly. Candidates should have knowledge of privacy management systems, risk assessment, compliance requirements, and policy and procedure development. The role requires the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, independently and as part of a team, and to support audit and implementation activities. Strong organization, communication, and judgment are important for coordinating awareness programs, managing issues, and contributing to ongoing compliance improvements.
