About the Role
Remote (anywhere in Mexico)(Mexico)
The Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Member to join its governance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's strategic objectives, particularly in the context of the 2027-2031 strategy and the lead-up to the World Cup 2031. This is a voluntary position that requires a significant time commitment, including regular Board and subcommittee meetings, and the ability to provide practical support and advice between meetings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the women's and girls' football industry in Mexico, with a proven track record of building strategic partnerships and a deep understanding of the local context. Essential skills include strategic judgment, the ability to connect local needs to the organization's mission, and a commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of girls through sport. The role of the Board Member is to work closely with the Chief Executive and the Board to ensure the organization's continued impact and growth. This includes helping to shape the Mexico and Latin America objectives, advising on partnerships and resources, and supporting the development of the organization's brand and positioning. The successful candidate will also be expected to challenge and support the organization's thinking on regional growth opportunities, and to act as a strategic sounding board for the leadership team. While the position is based in Mexico, the role is not limited to local responsibilities and may extend to contributing to the organization's priorities beyond Mexico. The Board Member will be an active ambassador for the organization, maintaining a strong network of relevant stakeholders, and will be expected to contribute to the Brand & Partnerships and/or Impact Subcommittee.
