About the Role
Remote (anywhere in North Carolina)
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Culture and Communications to lead a strategic and integrated enterprise portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and delivering a comprehensive strategy that encompasses culture, belonging, employee experience, learning and leadership development, organizational development, and internal and executive communications. This role is pivotal in shaping the organization's culture, capabilities, and the way in which employees and leaders engage with the company's mission and values. The Vice President will also be at the forefront of community affairs, leading the company's strategy in charitable giving, partnerships, and employee volunteerism. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and 20 years of directly related experience, a Master's degree and 15 years, or a PhD and 10 years. The role requires a proven track record in two or more of the following areas: culture programming, organizational development, leading internal and executive communications, and community affairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, sound judgment, and exceptional consulting, facilitation, and problem-solving skills. Digital agility is essential, as is the ability to translate data and employee insights into practical improvements. The Vice President will be expected to advise senior leaders, manage budgets, and ensure the delivery of measurable outcomes. Experience in a complex, growth-oriented organization and a background in scientific or technical research is a plus.
