Associate Vice President, Casualty Claims

The Company is seeking an AVP Casualty Claims to join their Claims Advocacy and Insight team. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in the company's coverage, with a focus on accurately managing claims to ensure positive outcomes for clients. This role involves close collaboration with the Claims and Operations department, as well as the development of comprehensive writing responses to coverage rebuttal position letters. Key responsibilities include communicating with insurance carriers' claims departments to resolve coverage issues, drafting coverage rebuttal position letters, and staying abreast of developments in claims and coverage. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years' of experience in Commercial General Liability claims, with a preference for those with a background in Workers Compensation and Marine General Liability/Protection & Indemnity/Bumbershoot claims. The role requires advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a proactive approach to business goals. Technical skills in the insurance industry, particularly in general liability insurance, claims, and insurance regulations, are essential. The ideal candidate will also possess a Claims Adjuster License and demonstrate strong behavioral skills in problem-solving, communication, time management, attention to detail, and relationship building.
