Head of Security & Risk

The Company is in search of a Head of Security & Risk to take on a pivotal role in establishing and owning the information security and risk function. This foundational position is critical as the company expands its operations and onboards regulated institutional partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the enterprise risk management program, owning the information security compliance certification roadmap, and establishing the security operations framework. Key responsibilities include covering various risk areas, driving the compliance posture across relevant frameworks, and serving as the primary contact for partner security due diligence. The role demands a proactive, organized, and process-driven individual with a strong background in information security, risk, GRC, or compliance operations, preferably in fintech, crypto infrastructure, or B2B SaaS. Applicants for the Head of Security & Risk role at the company should have 7-10 years' of experience in the relevant fields, with a proven track record in building compliance certification programs and managing security operations. Hands-on experience with GRC automation platforms, cloud security environments, and BCP/DR program design is essential. The ideal candidate will be a proactive risk thinker, exceptionally organized, and a builder with high ownership. Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams are also key attributes. While not mandatory, security certifications and familiarity with crypto, blockchain technologies, and regulatory frameworks are considered advantageous.
